“THE WARMTH OF THE EARTH”. Damir ISHEMGULOV. Paintings, drawings of the 1990-2000
The exhibition of works by member of the Union of artists of Russia, people's artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Honored artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Damir Ishemgulov dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the artist. Damir Ishemgulov is a special phenomenon not only in Bashkir, but also in the Russian art space. His paintings are simple stories about the village, about the beauty and dignity of its inhabitants, about the spiritual values of the people. Man, his hard work, rare moments of rest, everyday Affairs and concerns, earthly joy, even seemingly insignificant details of a simple village life, acquire the value of the event, and the unity of these events – life – is the true content of the epic narrative that leads the artist. His paintings are a kind of parable – he does not illustrate the events, but creates a kind of perfectly elevated model of national life, to which mythological imagery is added and something archaic, close to folklore is felt.
