“SKIF-XXIII” Sergei KURYOKHIN International Festival
“SKIF” has been held since 1998 and each time it opens up new names in modern and progressive music, introducing young St. Petersburg and Russian performers to the public. The concept of the festival is mostly based on the ideas of Sergei Kuryokhin’s project “Pop Mechanics”. From the very beginning of its existence, the festival strives to match the unique synthetic format of the project, combining music of all genres and styles, as well as dance, theater, performance, film, visual and multimedia art. This year, the festival’s guests will be the legendary Italian prog rock band Goblin led by Claudio Simonetti, British cult artist, poet, musician and puppeteer Ted Milton and his group Blurt, German duet Сeeys, singer Laura Naukkarinen from Finland, Lithuanian trio Timid Kooky. The Russian scene will be presented by young, but already quite noticeable avant-garde bands from Moscow.
