    “NATIONAL COLLECTION” 2nd International Competition of Ensembles
    The competition is held in order to develop and popularize chamber ensemble performance in the philharmonic life of Russia, to identify promising creatively gifted youth, as well as support and further professional development of talented musicians. In the contest "National Collection" can take part ensembles of any composition no more than 6 people. Participation in the ensemble of instruments of the peoples of the world is welcome. The competition will include master classes by leading foreign and Russian teachers, methodological seminars, concert performances by jury members and young performers.

    “ARTOKRAINA” 10th International Festival of Chamber Theaters and Small Scale Productions
    “ArtOkraina” is the only international festival in St. Petersburg that gives theater groups from around the world the opportunity to show the best chamber performances of their repertoire. Theaters from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg and Almetyevsk will take part in the program of the theater forum this year. The "Myth" Theater from Iran will also present its art. Petersburg audience will see 9 performances. Created in the genre range from performance to myth, sometimes with a non-standard approach to dramatic material that requires a special manner of playing, these performances are united by the search for new ways to understand modern man. The festival will include creative meetings and open discussions of performances with the participation of leading theater critics, cultural figures and spectators.

    “ELECTRO-MECHANICS” 14th International Multimedia Festival
    Festival annually introduces audiences to the various facets of electronic audiovisual art: experimental and dance music, digital video art, music videos, installations, and performances. In 2019, musicians from the UK, USA, Germany, the Netherlands and Russian cities will come to St. Petersburg. The first names are already known: Gaika (UK), Giant Swan (UK), Driftmachine (DE), Heidi Horowitz (NL), Eartheater (USA), Classic Electric (St. Petersburg), Igor Starshinov (St. Petersburg), Discours Synthetic (St. Petersburg), Crimson Butterfly (HH). All foreign groups will perform in our city for the first time. The festival will take place on the night of November 9 to 10 and will last until 5 in the morning.

    “VIDEOFORMA” 7th International Video Art Festival
    "Videoforma" - the only in St. Petersburg, an international festival of video art, which introduces the classics of video art and the latest trends in this art form. In 2019, the project is dedicated to the avant-garde experiments of artists who present “Parallel Realities on the Screen”, which blur the boundary between reality and imagination. At the festival, the premiere of the video work “phenomena” by Sid Yandovka (New York) and Anna Tsirlina (Switzerland) will take place. The festival will open a round table entitled “The History of Exposure, Collecting, and Storage Features of Video and Media Art”, which will bring together representatives of major museums and institutions involved in video art.

    "CRYSTAL KEY" 2nd International Young Harpers Competition
    The review of young harpers, created by the winner of international competitions Elizabeth Alexandrova, was first held in June 2012 and became a major event in the musical life of St. Petersburg and Russia. The competition was attended by over 70 young performers from 15 countries of Europe. In 2019, “Crystal Key” will be held for the second time and will be dedicated to the outstanding Russian musician and teacher Tatyana Tower. For many years she was a soloist of the Leningrad Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, taught at the Leningrad Conservatory and Special Music School, raising a whole generation of harpists.

    6th Chopin International Youth Piano and Singers Competition
    The competition is organized by Sergey Rachmaninov St. Petersburg Children's Art School with the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland and Frideric Chopin Music and Education Society with the support of the St. Petersburg Committee for Culture. For many young pianists it looks like an important stage of professional growth and an occasion for an in-depth study of the work of the great Polish composer. Since 2010, the competition has been held in two categories - “Piano” and “Solo singing”.

    The annual festival, aimed at developing cultural cooperation between the UK and Russia, introduces Russian viewers to the world premieres of British cinema. This year the film forum will celebrate its 20th anniversary. The anniversary program presents the best films of the year, including the long-awaited film continuation of the famous series “Downton Abbey”, the witty comedy “Days of the Bagnold Summer”, the action-packed youth film “Schemers” and others. All films are shown in English with Russian subtitles.
