    “SPRING OF THE FORTY-FIFTH YEAR” City Competition of Amateur Horeographic Groups
    In 2020, a competition with the participation of amateur choreographic collectives will be dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The program includes classical, folk and plot-game dance, as well as choreographic compositions related to military themes. The competition will bring together more than 700 performers from 48 choreographic groups of cultural and leisure institutions of St. Petersburg.

    The festival with the participation of young pianists of children's music schools and city art schools is held in three categories: “Piano” (solo performance), “Ensembles for piano four hands” and “Chamber and instrumental ensembles”. The program of performances includes works by composers of a St. Petersburg school of the 19th - early 20th century and works by contemporary Petersburg authors.

    "LOVE RUSSIA, WHICH I DEFEND" Amateur Groups of Fine and Decorative Art City Competition
    The competition will be held as part of the City Festival "Victory Salute", dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. To participate in the competition are invited children and adult amateur groups of fine and decorative art of cultural and leisure institutions of St. Petersburg, as well as individual masters. The competition accepts works on a military-patriotic theme, made in different techniques (painting, graphics and arts and crafts).

    “SPIFF - 2020” St. Petersburg International Film Festival
    “SPIFF” has been held in St. Petersburg since 2017 and is the only Russian film festival that is included in the TOP-100 of the best film screenings in the world. The festival accepts short films and animations, music and dance videos, regardless of the status of the film: professional, student or amateur. In 2020, 911 films from 75 countries were announced. The program includes 20 films from Russia, the USA, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Egypt, Norway, Portugal, Ireland, Romania, the Czech Republic and Serbia with Israel. St. Petersburg viewers will see many films for the first time.

    5th Film Festival of the Visegrad Group Four Countries
    The festival was first held in 2016 in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Visegrád group, uniting four countries of Central Europe: Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Since then, every year Petersburg residents get acquainted with the most vivid and multi-genre films of these countries. The anniversary program includes the sparkling family comedy "Dad's "Volga " (Czech Republic), the social drama "Gypsy " (Slovakia), the military drama "1945 " (Hungary) and the psychological drama "Sweet End of the Day " (Poland). All impressions are free by prior online registration.

    Young Virtuoso is the only competition in St. Petersburg that enables the flute musician to demonstrate his technical abilities “in public”. Each participant in the show must perform one of the sketches of the Italian flutist virtuoso Ernest Köller, as well as sketches and plays by other composers, revealing the beauty and richness of the artistic expressiveness of the flute sound.

    The year 2020 marks the 175th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Alexander III. His collections comprised the initial core of the collection of the Russian Museum. In the year of its foundation, the Museum was named after the Emperor. The anniversary exhibition in the series “The Saga of the Romanovs” will present about 200 pieces of paintings, graphics, sculptures and applied art from the collections of the Russian Museum and other major museums in Russia.
