    “ZOOART” 7th Festival of Contemporary Animalistic Art
    This year the festival dedicated to the problems of the existence of animals in the urban environment will be held for the 7th time. The main theme of the project is the responsibility of a person for what is happening next to him and for the consequences of his impact on the world around him. Over the past years, more than 300 artists from Russia and other countries of the world, including young authors and famous animal painters, have taken part in the exhibitions of the festival. All styles and genres were presented at the expositions - painting, graphics, sculpture, panels, fabrics, glass, ceramics, art objects, installations and author's dolls. The festival program includes various events: exhibitions, children's drawing contests, performances by musicians, master classes, charity events and presentations.

    “LIAF” London International Animation Festival
    London International Animation Festival LIAF is rightfully considered one of the leading in Europe. This year, 8 films from Europe and the USA have been selected from a large-scale international and national competition program for Russian screenings, which will demonstrate the main trends in the world of animation. Spectators will be able to see big festival hits - "Daughter" by Oscar nominee Daria Kascheeva, "Symbiosis" by Nadia Andrashev from the official competition program in Annecy and six more equally striking films.

    "RUSSIA IN THE ELECTRONIC WORLD" 11th Annual Interactive Olympiad
    The interactive Olympiad "Russia in the Electronic World" for students of educational institutions has been held since 2010. During the existence of the project, more than 45,000 people have taken part in it, many of whom later entered the most prestigious Russian universities. Schoolchildren in grades 10-11, as well as students of institutions of secondary vocational education in Russia and foreign countries can register on the website of the interactive educational project and test their knowledge of the Russian language, history and social studies. The Olympiad includes three stages, two of which are remote. Registration and completion of tasks of the first stage will be available until November 30, 2020 inclusive.

The Tsarskoye Selo Opening Day is traditionally timed to coincide with anniversary dates. The theme for 2020 is Victory Spring. The festival will include workshops, plein airs, excursions, exhibitions of artworks by project participants. Some events will be available online.

    "WELCOME TO SAINT-P" Festival for Freshmen
    The main goal of the festival is to adapt nonresident students to the conditions of the megalopolis, familiarize them with the history and culture of St. Petersburg, its attractions, understand and assess the city's capabilities in realizing itself and its potential. Within the framework of the festival, an excursion quest was prepared for first-year students in order to get acquainted with significant historical, cultural, sports, economic objects of St. Petersburg and an educational block with the participation of experts in popular areas among young people. October 5 MDT - Theater of Europe will show the play "Uncle Vanya" based on Chekhov's play especially for nonresident students.

    “Lk 15, 11–32. Rembrandt. Dedication, Alexander Sokurov”
    The famous film-director Alexander Sokurov has created a multimedia installation inspired by Rembrandt’s painting The Return of the Prodigal Son in the Hermitage. The project “Lk 15, 11–32” combines video pieces, sculpture, painting and music. The exhibition in the Hermitage is founded upon the artistic conception of the installation presented in the Russian Pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art in 2019. The display in the White Hall will, however, be an expanded and modified version of the Venetian project.
