The International Polar Bear Day will be marked by events at various city venues. Residents of St. Petersburg will have a chance to learn many interesting about this amazing animal, which can be found not only in the harsh ice of the Arctic, but also in the circus or in the zoo. The Krassin Icebreaker, a branch of the Museum of the World Ocean invites children and adults to visit the exhibition of polar comics and meet with their authors, take part in contests, photo sessions with a mega-bear and a master class from the publishing house "Smart Paper". The Zoo will offer its visitors to watch a public feeding of the largest land predators.

The competition brings together professionals and amateurs of playing domra, balalaika, guitar, mandolin and harp. Soloists, ensembles and orchestral groups present their skills. The music forum contributes to the preservation of the traditions of folk instrumental performing arts, the development of intercultural ties and the exchange of experience between participants from different regions of our country. In 2021, String Olympus will be held in video format.

The festival dedicated to the art of guitar jazz has been held in St. Petersburg for almost three decades and occupies a special place in the list of cultural events in the city. The best performers from different cities of Russia, countries of near and far abroad perform on the stage of the JFC Jazz Club every year. Music programs always arouse keen interest not only among connoisseurs and connoisseurs of jazz, but also among those who for the first time discover the beauty and inexhaustible possibilities of guitar jazz.

The title "Honorary Citizen of St. Petersburg" has been awarded since 1993 to well-known figures of science, culture and sports for their outstanding contribution to the development of St. Petersburg, increasing its role and authority in Russia and in the international arena. The annual festival introduces the townspeople to those who have been awarded this high title. In 2021, the program included events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the rector of ITMO University Vladimir Vasiliev, the anniversaries of the six-time Olympic champion Lyubov Egorova and figure skating coach Tamara Moskvina, the 90th anniversary of the design engineer, long-term head of the Rubin Central Design Bureau, Igor Spassky, 75 anniversary of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill. The festival will open with a gala evening "Songs from Heart to Heart" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Honorary Citizen of St. Petersburg Vadim Alexandrov. For 25 years he was in charge of the Leningrad-Petersburg Metrostroy.

The competition has been held since 2014 with the aim of professional support for young pop song performers. Artists, theater and cinema artists, students of theater and music educational institutions, as well as other performers aged 16 to 32 years are invited to participate. Vocalists' skills are assessed by the Jury, which includes leading composers, performers, musicians, poets and teachers. The program of the competitive auditions includes songs by Isaac Dunaevsky, Vasily Soloviev-Sedoy, Alexandra Pakhmutova, David Tukhmanov, Andrei Petrov, as well as other composers of the Soviet and contemporary song stage.

The first competition of romance singers took place in St. Petersburg more than one hundred years ago. In the 21st century, the genre gets a new birth, growing increasingly popular and loved among composers, poets and musicians. The “Spring of Romance” competition contributes to the preservation of unique music traditions and the transfer of performing prowess to new generations. The annual show is attended by young performers (up to 35 years old) and songwriters. The competitive auditions program includes romances of the late 19th - early 20th centuries and works by contemporary composers.

The annual festival is very popular with Petersburgers and city guests. In honor of the Chinese New Year celebration, the Palace Bridge will be decorated with decorative red lighting. The festival will host Russian and Chinese online concerts featuring the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra and the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, which will be broadcast on several television and Internet platforms in China and Russia. The festival program also includes competitions in Chinese traditional wushu styles (online); exhibitions of works performed in various techniques of fine and decorative arts, as well as Chinese calligraphy; children's festivals and competitions. Everyone will be able to attend (or watch online) master classes on the traditional Chinese art of paper cutting "jianzhi", on making origami and Chinese lanterns.

"Monocle" provides actors with a unique opportunity to show all facets of their talent. Over the years, everyone's favorite Russian and St. Petersburg artists took part in the festival: Evgeny Grishkovets, Alexey Devotchenko, Sergey Barkovsky, Igor Larin and many others, and special guests of the festival were Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, Sofiko Chiaureli, Alla Demidova, Mikhail Kozakov, Sergey Yursky, Alisa Freundlich. The 13th International Monocle Festival of Solo Performances traditionally includes two stages: St. Petersburg and international. The St. Petersburg program includes the works of actors from the leading city theaters. Winners of the Grand Prix and the First Prize will be eligible to participate in the International Competition. Stage 2 performances will be shown in offline and online formats.

This exhibition is concerned with the image of Psyche as representation of a human soul in ancient, Western European and Russian art. The exhibits on display are centred around two poles: the tale of Cupid and Psyche, authored by the second-century Roman writer Apuleius, and Dushenka, an ‘old story in verse’ written by Ippolit Bogdanovich in the late eighteenth century. Among the exhibits are ancient archaeological artefacts: terracottas, gems, silver mirrors illustrating the vision of Psyche common among ancient Greeks and Romans as well as works of Western European and Russian art, namely sculptures, paintings and works of applied arts. The exhibition is organised with participation of the Tretyakov Gallery.

The Golden Pen Prize is awarded to journalists to journalists who have achieved the greatest respect and recognition from the journalistic community for their professional activities. This year, authors and creative teams will be able to present their works in 11 nominations: "Grand Prix - Journalist of the Year", "For Contribution to the Development of Journalism", "Politics and Publicism", "Investigation", "Economics", "Social Issues", "Petersburg. Present and Prospects ”,“ Culture ”,“ Ecology ”,“ Photo ”and“ Debut ”(for journalists under 25). In addition, a Special Prize “For the best information TV program” will be awarded. The project, combining music, literature and fine arts, is dedicated to the symbols of St. Petersburg, its heavenly and earthly guardians - angels and lions. During the month, the Singer House on Nevsky Prospekt will host book presentations, literary and musical evenings with the participation of St. Petersburg poets and artists of the Capella Symphony Orchestra. The cycle of events will open with the presentation of the book-album "City of Angel and Lion". The publication will feature magnificent illustrations by the artist Dmitry Lobanov and the St. Petersburg fairy tales-legends of the writer Marina Kozikova. The theme will be continued by a unique art object that will be placed in the window of the House of Books. The angel and the lion will appear in all their greatness and will remind the residents of the Northern capital of the need to preserve the great cultural heritage of the city.

The project introduces the achievements of young Petersburgers in the field of computer technology and contributes to the development of the creative abilities of students in educational institutions. This year, the nominations of the competition are associated with anniversaries and memorable dates: 200 years since the birth of the writer Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, 300 years since the launch of the fountains and cascades of Peterhof, 60 years since the first manned flight into space, 90 years for Russian television and 120 years since birthday of Walt Disney. Project participants must demonstrate their skills in book cover design using computer technology.
