“SOUND WAYS” 30th International Festival of New Music
“SOUND WAYS” 30th International Festival of New Music

The festival was established by St. Petersburg composer Alexander Radvilovich nearly 30 years ago. In those years the festival, among the first in the country and in St. Petersburg, introduced the audience to the avant-garde music of Russian and foreign composers. The jubilee program includes performances by the St. Petersburg Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, the “Sound Ways” ensemble, the Mariinsky Theater Ensemble of Contemporary Music, the Moscow Ensemble of Contemporary Music, the Vienna Airborne Extended Ensemble, the “Melos Sinfonia” from London, and the “ARBOS” Music and Theater Group from Salzburg. Continuing the long tradition, “Sound Ways” festival will present world premieres of works by Russian and foreign artists, many of which were specially created for the festival.
