1 June, 2017. "MILK DAY" Event dedicated to the International Children's Protection Day in the Leningrad Zoo
On June 1st, Leningrad Zoo will host ‘Milk Day’ – an event dedicated to the International Children's Protection Day.
"Drink milk, children, and you will be healthy!" - thus teaches us a well-liked children’s song. Both adults and children know about the health benefits of milk and dairy, not to mention the fact that milk is the first food of any person. All the Zoo visitors can play our exciting games and learn about the health benefits of milk, its composition, and the ‘baby foods’ in the wild! In addition, the Zoo visitors will witness animal feeding presentations, toucan training sessions, and a walk with a tame macaw.
11.00 – primate feeding presentation (Primate Pavilion)
11.30 – sloth and squirrel monkey feeding presentation (Tropical House)
12.00 - 14.00 – creative master-classes ‘Milk Family’ (Exotarium Pavilion, 1st floor)
12.00 – 14.00 – playground for children ‘Animals and Children’ (Exotarium Pavilion, 1st floor)
12.00 – 16.00 – quest «Baby Food» (the game station at the central entrance)*
12.30 – 13:00 – walking with a tame macaw (in good weather conditions – on the ground between the Small Carnivores and the Riding Circle)
13.00 – interactive tour ‘Dairy Farm' (the group assembly near the Zoo map at the central entrance)
14.00 – 16.00 – interactive station «Milk Experiments» (in front of the Lecture Hall)
14.00 – 16.00 – educational station «About Milk» (in front of the Lecture Hall)
14.30 – white-throated toucan training (Exotarium Pavilion, 2nd floor)
15.00 – camel feeding presentation (Camel Enclosure near the Exotarium Pavilion)
* The quest route for ‘Baby Food’ will be available until 3.30 p.m.!
