April 13 – June 06, 2018. “TO ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARTIST NATALIA IVANOVA (1908-1981)”. Exhibition in the St. Petersburg State Theater Library

The St. Petersburg State Theater Library presents the exhibition “To anniversary of the artist Natalia Ivanova (1908-1981)”.

Honored Worker of Arts, artist Natalia Ivanova – master, who lived a long creative life. In her works you can find realistic painting, the style of the balagan theater, the rigor of minimalist decisions – different facets of theatrical convention, creating a great illusion of theater.

For 20 years Natalia Ivanova was the main artist of the Leningrad Young People’s Theater. She designed the performances of A. Bryantsev, Z. Korogodsky and others.

The exhibition shows materials devoted to the work of the artist with her favorite director - P. K. Waisbrem. The result of joint creativity were such performances as "A cat in boots", "A guest at the Koshchei", "Pushkin’s fairy tales" and others.

The exhibition presents sketches, documents and photographs from the personal archive of the artist. Also exhibits from the sketch fund of the Department of Manuscripts and Rare Books of the St. Petersburg State Theater Library.
