On the 7th of May St. Petersburg State Theater Library virtual site (www.sptl.spb.ru) will open an exhibition "People of Great Victory" in commemoration 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This exposition marks new library activity on the site titled "Virtual exhibitions".
The exhibition will show documents from library archive collection telling the fate of those who remained standing in the hardest years of War and survived in Leningrad Siege. Among them actors V. V. Uskov, V. V. Strzhel’chik, theatre director M. P. Troyansky, art critic A. A. Bartoshevich and others.
Archive documents, shown at the exhibition, recall library war and blockade heroic history. There are letters, parts of diaries, photos, papers confirming military service, extracts from political dispatches, theater manuscripts, newspapers notes and playbills.
These documents mostly shown for the first time.
